LGBTQ2S+ health in Alberta continues to face many challenges. However, there are opportunities to build a more inclusive, accessible and supportive health care system for all. Join us for a lively panel discussion about where we are, where we need to go and how we can get there.
Panelists include representatives from The Rainbow Clinic at the MacEwan University Health Centre (MUHC), Edmonton Men's Health Collective, Firekeepers YEG, Alberta Health Services and Independent Diversity Consultants.
All students, staff, faculty and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Welcome and greetings from Dr. Fred McGinn, dean of the Faculty of Health and Community Studies at MacEwan University.
LGBTQ2S+ Health in Alberta sponsored by the Faculty of Health and Community Studies.
This event is part of Pride Week 2020, when MacEwan University celebrates the diversity of our students, faculty and staff and supports the LGBTQ2S+ community and allies.
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather in Treaty Six Territory is the traditional gathering place for many Indigenous people. We honour and respect the history, languages, ceremonies and culture of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit who call this territory home.
