The Dr. Kathryn J. Hannah Lecture Series is presented in support of a new national nursing informatics scholarship, inspired by Dr. Hannah and established in partnership between the Canadian nursing informatics community and the Canadian Nurses Foundation.
Presented in partnership with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA), Nursing Informatics Association of Alberta (NIAA), the Canadian Nurses Foundation (CNF), Allscripts and the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA).

Dr. Hannah C.M., PhD, RN, is Canada’s first Nurse Informatician and has made foundational changes to the practice of nursing and health care nationally and internationally through education, scholarship, transforming initiatives like C--HOBIC, and standards development leadership. In 2015, Dr. Hannah received the Canadian Health Informatics Award (CHIA) for Leadership from COACH, (Canada’s Health Informatics Association) and ITAC (Information Technology Association of Canada).
Dr. Hannah was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2015 for her lifetime achievements in nursing and health informatics.
