Pride Week Opening Ceremonies and Virtual Smudge

March 1, 2021

Historically, MacEwan's Pride Week has started with a gathering, opening remarks and a march through campus. Obviously, that is not possible this year, so the opening ceremonies will be held online and will be available to watch throughout the week. Join us for greetings from members of the MacEwan community, as well as from our collaborating partners: NorQuest College, Concordia University Edmonton and NAIT. Mayor Don Iveson will be reading the Proclamation that officially kicks off the week!

Elder Francis Whiskeyjack will open MacEwan's Pride Week with a virtual smudge. At a time when we are all feeling isolated and disconnected, participating in this smudge will allow us to reconnect in a good way. All are welcome to participate.
