Pride Week 2020

March 2, 2020 – March 6, 2020

Pride Week banner.

Join MacEwan University to celebrate the diversity of our students, faculty and staff and to support the LGBTQ2S+ community and allies.

This year’s theme is Intersections of Pride.

Activities during MacEwan’s fourth annual Pride Week range from the opening day Pride march and discussions about about Two Spirit teachings and health, to the outrageous camp and glamour of drag performers.

Self care is important so be sure to connect with the Peer Health Education Team’s free Pride-themed Wellness Station. Stop by for self-care colouring, button making, Pride-themed activities and to learn more about Pride. Find the Wellness Station in Griffins Landing (Clock Tower entrance) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

The Griffins men’s and women’s hockey teams will be using Pride Tape in their warmups in support of MacEwan's Pride Week. Catch them in action at the Downtown Community Arena at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 27 (women's game) and 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28 (men’s game).

The City of Edmonton will light up the High Level Bridge in support of MacEwan’s Pride Week on March 6.
