Visiting Artist: Randy Cole

October 29, 2017 – November 1, 2017

The Department of Music at MacEwan University presents a film and CD recording project with the Al McLean Quartet under the direction of filmmaker Randy Cole.

Focus Jazz: Crafting a Film Narrative About Jazz

About the video recording session and CD release

Filmmaker Randy Cole will create an electronic press kit (EPK) in MacEwan’s new Allard Hall. An EPK is a pre-packaged set of promotional materials that provides information about musicians and is distributed to members of the media for promotional use. The recording session will feature Canadian saxophone phenom Al McLean with his world-class rhythm section; Jim Doxas (drums), Adrian Vedady (bass) and special guest Benito Gonzalez (piano).
