School of Continuing Education programs
The SCE International support team is located at Alberta College Campus and can help study tour students and 1-year PD certificate students get accustomed to life in Canada, stay ahead of their studies, and get familiarized with campus policies.
Throughout your time in Canada, consider the SCE International team to be your support center for all issues you may have.

MacEwan International refers students to academic, social and personal support programs offered by the Student Affairs office and the Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU).
Academic Integrity Office
We believe fairness and ethical behaviour are best fostered through education and prevention, not policing and discipline. When academic misconduct is suspected or does occur, we treat students fairly and respectfully.
Contact the Academic Integrity Office if you have questions about restorative practices, academic integrity or the process for reporting or responding to academic misconduct.
Careers and Experience
The Careers and Experience office helps students and alumni navigate their career journey. We give advice, provide resources, organize events and support development of career-relevant experience through leadership and volunteer opportunities as well as experiential learning opportunities such as course projects with community partners, internships, field placements and co-ops.
Kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre
kihêw waciston, which means “eagle’s nest” in Cree, is a home away from home for MacEwan University's Indigenous students. Contact us if you have questions about personal, academic, funding or cultural services on campus. We can support you on your post-secondary path.
Named after MacEwan's first president, the John L. Haar Library spans two city blocks across Buildings 6 & 7 and has plenty of silent study areas and computers. Visit the library's website to search the collections, access research and citation resources, and contact librarians for research help.
Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity (OHRDE)
At MacEwan University, we are committed to working with all members of our campus community to build a discrimination-free environment. Contact us if you have experienced discrimination on campus. We can guide and support you.
Sport and Wellness
MacEwan University's Christenson Family Centre for Sport and Wellness is a recreation facility in downtown Edmonton that features fitness and aquatics facilities; spin, yoga and aerobics studios; and a three-court gymnasium. We serve MacEwan students and employees and the general public. Our facilities are available for rent by external groups.
Through Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) Student Groups, you have the opportunity to share ideas, challenge yourself, help others and build leadership skills. Student Groups are open to all students.
The Writing Centre
Our Writing Centre is here to help you improve your academic writing skills. Submit a paper online to receive feedback on your writing, book a video chat appointment with a tutor, or have a look at our many writing, study skills, and time management resources online. Access this free service at any stage of the writing process, whether you are just getting started, struggling with writer’s block, or polishing a final draft.
Wellness and Psychological Services
If you are struggling with personal or academic stress and need someone to talk to, we can support you with free, professional, confidential counselling. Students enrolled in one or more credit courses can book an appointment to discuss health and wellness concerns. The first step is to attend an Initial Consultation (IC). Initial consultations are available by telephone, video, or in-person on a limited basis. Please contact Reception to book an initial consultation. Follow-up appointments for ongoing counselling are available by telephone or video only.
