COVID-19 Updates: Sport and Wellness

Valued Sport and Wellness student, employee, alumni, and community member:
Protecting your health and well-being is our top priority. As such, MacEwan University Sport and Wellness remains closed until further notice.
We are writing to provide our members with some reminders and updates on this evolving situation.
Current student members
If the facility reopens, current students will have access until April 30.
Annual memberships and passes
These memberships/passes will be frozen at no charge starting Sunday, March 15, 2020, until we reopen facilities.
The total number of days we are closed will be added to the end of your membership.
Continuous monthly membership
These memberships and payments will be put on hold, and no payments will be processed during this closure.
After we reopen, your regular monthly payments will resume.
Accessing locker to retrieve personal items
If you still need to access items in your locker, you will only be able to do so until April 3. To make arrangements, contact us at email@example.com or 780-497-5300 ( press 0).
After we re-open, locker and towel rentals will be extended for the length of the closure.
Refunds will be processed over the next couple of weeks. If you paid by credit card over the phone or online, you will automatically receive a pro-rated refund to that card (or a full refund for courses that were fully cancelled).
If you registered and paid in person, a credit has been placed on your account. This credit can be applied to registrations within the next six months. If a refund is preferred, you will be able to come in and receive a refund after we reopen to the public.
Everyone enrolled in swim lessons will receive a registration recommendation from their instructor. This will be emailed to you in the next few weeks and will help you decide what level to register in next.
For those registered in any of our aquatic leadership programs, a separate email has been sent to participants with information about special accommodations.
While online registration currently remains open for Spring and Summer programming, we encourage you to hold off on spring registrations.
In the event of cancellation, anyone registered will receive a full refund.
Any sessions/visits set to expire during the closure period will be extended.

Keep in touch with us! Visit our blog site for a collection of exercise videos to help keep you active. Or our friends at Apple Fitness Store have provided us with a link to free daily workouts. Registration will grant you access to three different workouts each day: Bodyweight; Small Accessories; and Strength, Flexibility, Restore.
