November brought the community to our campus in many ways – we welcomed potential students to Open House, scholars to the first Indigenous Research Symposium and theatre-goers to our opening production of the 2018/19 season.
And while many visited MacEwan for the first time this month, we also said a bittersweet goodbye to some familiar faces at Fall Convocation.
On November 3, our enthusiastic volunteers welcomed thousands of potential students and their families to campus for Open House.
Open House featured interactive exhibits, performances, program displays, service booths and information sessions, giving future students a glimpse into the vibrant MacEwan community.
On November 14 the Indigenous Research Symposium, hosted jointly by MacEwan and University nuhelot’įne thaiyots’į nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills, brought together 200 post-secondary students, academics, researchers and members of the public.
On November 20, we celebrated our most recent graduates at Fall Convocation where 694 students received credentials.
The Poundmaker Drum Group led the student procession at the convocation ceremonies at the Winspear Centre.
We kicked off our theatre season on November 28 with 9 to 5, showcasing the talents of our theatre arts and theatre production students. The show, which follows three unlikely friends who decide to take on their sexist boss, runs until December 8.
