MacEwan Board of Governors seeking two alumni members

March 6, 2020 | Campus Life
You’re a MacEwan graduate. You have some insight into what makes the university a great place, and where there is room to be even better. You know that your fellow alumni are the institution’s greatest ambassadors, and you would love the chance to advocate for them.

Good news: there just might be a place for you at the board table.

The university’s Board of Governors is expanding to include two alumni representatives, and MacEwan University’s newly created Alumni Advisory Council is leading the search and selection process.

The two board members will be responsible for ensuring that alumni interests are reflected in university decisions, and will serve as a connection point between MacEwan’s 75,000 alumni and the Board of Governors. As with all MacEwan board members, there is also an expectation that they will be active members of the MacEwan community, and will champion the university within the external community.

“We’re looking for a positive champion for our alumni and a great communicator back to our council and the community,” says Sarah Kowalevsky, a member of the Alumni Advisory Council. “These two board members will have the chance to rally the great base of alumni that we have and highlight MacEwan's role in creating talent for our city.”
