12:15 p.m. update
As of 12:15 p.m., MacEwan University has confirmed that there is no threat posed on campus as a result of the recent social media post.
In cooperation with MacEwan University, the Edmonton Police Service has confirmed additional information regarding the source of the post. This matter has now been turned over to the Edmonton Police Service for further action.
