The Office of Research Services would like to engage with students regarding future enhancements to the Student Research Day event, held annually after exams are over in April.
Student Research Day is a full-day, interdisciplinary showcase of all of the faculty-mentored student research, scholarly and creative activities conducted on campus over the past year.
This is an event for students to celebrate their work, practice their presentation skills and gain conference experience. More details about past events can be found on MacEwan.ca/StudentResearchDay.
We invite all students interested in research, scholarship and creation to participate in focus groups relating to the event. The feedback received from these focus groups will be collected for our office to work to implement for the upcoming Student Research Day on April 27, 2020 and also for future events. The time commitment involves sharing your thoughts for approximately one hour over lunch time. Lunch will be provided to all who confirm their attendance in advance. Groups will be capped at 15 students.
Focus groups are open to students who have attended the event before and also to new students who have not participated in the past.
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather in Treaty Six Territory is the traditional gathering place for many Indigenous people. We honour and respect the history, languages, ceremonies and culture of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit who call this territory home.
