Community Engaged Research Grant

This grant supports Community Engaged Scholarship opportunities for MacEwan faculty and their community partners. Community partners can be defined as any non-profit, for-profit or government organization that is outside academia. A definition of Community Engaged Scholarship can be found on the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute website.
Community Engaged Scholarship Institute
This grant supports research that:
Directly addresses or responds to the needs of a community partner
Builds new or strengthens existing partnerships with community organizations
Increases opportunities for students to be involved in community engaged research
Applications must be co-developed with the community organization. The outcomes must include direct benefits to the community organization. All applications must have at least one MacEwan faculty, one community partner and one MacEwan undergraduate student.
Apply for the Community Engaged Research Grant by following these steps:
1. Log in to PeopleSoft.
2. Choose the Research tile.
3. Navigate to the My Grant Application page and select Community Engaged Research Grant from the list of awards. Choose Start a New Application to begin a new application. Applications that have already been started can also be accessed from this screen.
Note: Community Engaged Research Grant will only show up in the list when applications are open.
