Online application guides
An online application system is used to apply for grants. If you have questions about the online application system, you can find the answers in the FAQ sheets or in the guides. The guides also provide easy-to-follow steps for using the application system.
Research Online at MacEwan (RO@M)
If your publications need to be open access to comply with research grant funding requirements, or if you simply want to make your scholarly activity available to a broader audience, you can use MacEwan’s institutional repository, Research Online at MacEwan (RO@M). Repository staff investigate copyright permissions and upload works on your behalf. RO@M includes conference papers, creative works, technical reports and exceptional student work submitted by faculty on a student’s behalf.
Research assistants (RAs) are available to all faculties and schools for general research tasks, including literature reviews, data coding, assistance with data analysis and laboratory and field work.
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics can ensure that the data you gather supports your research goals. What is an ideal sample size for the research study you’re proposing? Which methods should you use for proper data analysis? How should the statistical results be interpreted? Consulting statistics experts to support your research enhances your credibility as a serious researcher.
Does your project require a large survey to gather feedback or opinions? The Office of Research Services provides faculty peer support with large survey administration and questionnaire design; this can help increase your response rates, improve questionnaire design and survey administration, and streamline reporting on survey methodology. Consultations may be offered on a one-on-one basis or via occasional workshops..
Note that survey consultations focus on large survey design, not on general research advice that is offered by ORS.
MacEwan University Library supports faculty at all stages of research, whether you are just starting out, ready to publish or want to share and assess the impact of previously published works. Consult the library website for information on services to help you with publishing, open access, research data management, accessing secondary data and tracking and analyzing research metrics for grant applications and dossiers.
