We're not standing still.
We look at the world around us and consider the changing demands for education.
In a 2009 Globe and Mail survey, our students placed MacEwan University third in the country for encouragement of innovation and openness to new approaches and programs.
These new opportunities include:
- Our Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music - one of the few programs of its kind in Canada - lets students zero in on their passion for jazz and contemporary popular music including pop and rock.
- Our Bachelor of Communication Studies degree is an inspired fusion of two long-standing programs, the Professional Writing applied degree and Journalism diploma.
- Majors in our Bachelor of Commerce that include international business and supply chain management, unique offerings that reflect the demands of the global marketplace.
We also offer a range of niche programming in health and community studies such as the Bachelor of Child and Youth Care, Social Work and Psychiatric Nursing.
Our faculty are focused on teaching - they arrive here ready to inspire and motivate students. But at the same time, they are involved in innovative and ground-breaking research, scholarly and artistic activities that compliment and support their excellent teaching.
