Nominate a faculty member, alum or community member

Every year during our convocation ceremonies, we honour individuals from within MacEwan and our community who strive to make a difference and inspire those around them. But before we can roll out the red carpet, we need you to tell us whose milestone achievements or everyday excellence deserves recognition, and the time to do that is right now.

Whether it’s the innovative teaching and research of a faculty member, an alum who has done us proud or a community member who exemplifies our values, we want to hear about and honour the people making a difference within our university and beyond.

Help us recognize the best of the best by nominating a faculty member, alum or community member for an award.

Medal of Excellence

This award is given to community members who may not necessarily have a direct connection to MacEwan, but who uphold the values that have come to define our institution: environmental, social and economic sustainability; fearless innovation and creativity; and research that engages and serves communities. Medal of excellence recipients reflect what this university is and what we are striving to be, and epitomize excellence in all that they do.

Recent winners include renowned trumpet soloist Jens Lindemann, and Canadian broadcast legend Roger Charest.
