Presidents at MacEwan help design their own regalia to include elements and symbols of personal and institutional significance. Officially installed as the university’s new president.
Allan Gilliland, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications, conducts a composition he wrote in honour of the installation called “Fanfare D-E-B.” In introducing the piece, he said “if you have perfect pitch, you’ll know why.”
Deborah Saucier, MacEwan University’s fifth president, gives the installation address.
