Association of Certified Fraud Examiners - Edmonton Chapter Scholarship
To be considered for this award, the candidate must: - Be enrolled full-time or part-time in the Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting major, Applied Business Administration - Accounting, or Police and Investigations program at MacEwan University; - Be in good academic standing; - Have successfully completed the first term of their program; - Provide a letter of reference from an instructor outlining how the applicant has been a positive role model for other students; and - Write a 250-500 word essay showing: * Career goals and objectives, including the reasons for entering their program of study * Commitment to community involvement, including details of participation in volunteer activities * What role ethics and fraud awareness, detection or prevention will play in the applicant's future career
Awards are based on criteria such as volunteerism or leadership, and may include but are not limited to academic achievement or financial need. Unless otherwise specified, students must be in 60 per cent of a full course load (usually three courses).

Selection Committee. Successful applicants will be notified via e-mail. Committee selections are final, appeals will not be considered.
