Human Rights, Diversity, and Equity Student Award
To be eligible for the award, students must: - Be in good standing at MacEwan University; - Be in their second, third, or fourth year of studies; - Demonstrate a strong commitment to human rights, diversity and equity. This can be through volunteerism, advocacy, or other. (This will be assessed through a 1-page cover letter and resume.) - Present a paper or poster at MacEwan's Student Research Day; - Work with the Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity to develop the project.
Selection of Award
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet with representatives from the Office of Human Rights, Diversity and Equity for an interview for final selection. Successful applicants will be notified via e-mail. Committee selections are final, appeals will not be considered. Typically given out in the Fall term.
For funds to be disbursed, successful applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course load and be in good academic standing.
