Spirit Bear Dialogues: Exploring Indigenous-Ukrainian Relationships

Inspired by Shumka’s Ancestors and Elders, the Ukrainian Resource and Development Centre (URDC) is partnering with kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre for a two-part Spirit Bear Dialogues event. Honoured guests will explore relationships — past and present — between local Indigenous and Ukrainian communities. There will be a showcase of culturally significant foods, including borscht (beet soup) and bannock, and a panel discussion featuring Indigenous and Ukrainian voices.
