Todd Hirsch: Alberta’s Economy 2019

March 7, 2019

Alberta’s Economy 2019: One Thing That Matters A Little, and Five Things That Matter A Lot

The Economics Club, through the Anthropology, Economics, and Political Science (AEPS) Department at MacEwan University, is pleased to welcome Mr. Todd Hirsch.

Mr. Hirsch has been ATB Financial’s Chief Economist since April 2007 and more recently was promoted to Vice-President and Chief Economist in January 2018. Prior to ATB, he has been employed with various Alberta and Canadian-based companies, including Earl’s, CTV, Canadian Pacific Railway and the Bank of Canada.

Join Mr. Hirsch as he demystifies the issues of the current economy and discusses Alberta’s successful survival through The Great Recession of 2008. Some of the ‘little things’ he will discuss are: What factors will weigh on Alberta in 2019? Which critical elements will shape Alberta in the long run? How will Alberta continue to adapt to the rapidly changing global and national economy?

All are welcome to attend this free event.
