Cenap is an Accounting Professor at MacEwan and an originally Turkish Canadian Citizen. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in Turkey and has been teaching accounting since August 2006 at MacEwan University. Currently, he holds two professional designations, one from Turkey-CPA and one from Canada-CMA.
Cenap has 22 years of business experience and has worked in the capacities of accounting manager, finance director and finance coordinator in top manufacturing and service companies in Turkey. He has ten years experience as an accounting teacher, 4 years of which were in Turkey where he taught full time at Yeditepe University and worked part time in industry. In 2010, Cenap passed the associate professorship exam in Turkey. His research areas are accounting fraud, inflation accounting and CSR. Cenap has 7 Turkish papers and 6 papers published in English in referred journals, with another 3 papers having been accepted for publishing.
