Keyboarding Test

Schedule your keyboarding test as soon as possible after you apply to the program. There is a limit on how many applicants can be scheduled in a test session, so please book early to ensure you get your first choice.

  • The minimum requirement is 30 Words per minute with 96% accuracy on a five-minute timing.

  • Each student is allowed a maximum of three attempts per session.

  • A maximum of three sessions may be booked per application.

  • The keyboarding exam will take approximately 5 to 20 minutes.

Keyboarding tests held at MacEwan University are held on the City Centre Campus.

You must log in with your MacEwan University account to book your keyboarding test. Please be sure to log out of your personal Google account first. Logging into the portal does not mean you are logged out of your personal account.

 

Book an out-of-town test (if you live more than 100 km from Edmonton):

Applicants who live more than 100 km from Edmonton can arrange to have their keyboarding test proctored out of town.

The test must be supervised by a responsible person such as a principal, counsellor, instructor, employer, etc. It is your responsibility to approach one of the above to supervise your typing test prior to completing the out of town sign-up form.
