Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family

NURS 326


Students acquire the knowledge and attitudes necessary for the care of the childbearing/childrearing family from pre-conception into the postpartum period. Students demonstrate an understanding of concepts such as primary health care, health promotion, and current trends and issues in family centred care. This course is intended for nurses who wish to update their knowledge in this field and do not require a clinical placement experience.

Hours: 45

In order to enrol in this course, you must be admitted to one of the following programs: Nurse Credentialling; or Nursing Refresher.
