Pediatric Nursing Theory

The student explores a family centered care approach to the role of the pediatric nurse in the care of children. Emphasis is placed on understanding growth and development, common and complex childhood acute and chronic alterations in health, nursing management and critical thinking. Students integrate core concepts of health promotion, injury prevention and wellness into care planning for the pediatric population.

In order to enrol in this course, you must be admitted to one of the following programs: Nurse Credentialling; or Nursing Refresher.
