In exchange for dedicating 2-3 hours a week to monitoring the gallery during each exhibition, volunteers get in-depth training about the contemporary art practices on view and supporting the public to have positive experiences in gallery settings. Volunteers get exclusive access to workshops on public gallery best practices that support professional art handling, installation, and care.
We welcome volunteer applications all year round; join our team!
“ If you want to make meaningful connections with students, faculty, staff, and the art community as a whole, I recommend volunteering at the Mitchell Art Gallery.”
