City’s Centre

City’s Centre is produced by the journalism students of MacEwan University.

Inside City’s Centre is The Scavenger, an award-winning online magazine launched in 2015. The Scavenger is produced annually by our fourth-year journalism students. Student writers earned first place (2015, 2017) and second place (2016, 2018) accolades in the Written Word category of the national Emerge Media awards.

You will also read about The Tiputini Project. Through the students’ research, the story of the Tiputini Biodiversity Station of Universidad San Francisco de Quito near Yasuni National Park is told.
