Research:

Constanza Pacher's research activity resides in two areas: scholarship of teaching and learning, and applied research and inquiry through creative activity.

One of her research interests is the teaching and learning of design. She has been writing curriculum and reflecting about her teaching practice and experiences in the classroom for over a decade. The teaching of design evolves as the industry and practice of the profession evolves, creating a need for looking into how we teach and prepare the designers of the future. Topics in this area include: developing student-centred curriculum, pedagogical shifts and experimentation in the teaching of typography. In her personal research, she explores the design of books, both traditional and non-traditional, including the design of image-texts.
