For many of our graduates, the Theatre Arts program is a first step toward a life-long commitment to the stage. Some find work in Edmonton's thriving theatre scene. Others bring their talent to performing arts companies throughout Alberta, across the country and around the globe.
Take your place on stage
In the Theatre Arts program, you develop your acting, singing and dancing abilities. You collaborate with fellow students and meet many of Edmonton's artistic directors. After two years, it's time to take your place in the performing arts community. Our alumni work in the industry in a number of roles:
Body motion models in the film and gaming industry
Apply your skills in any job
As a graduate of the Theatre Arts program, you've gained skills that will serve you well on and off the stage. You've learned how to work collaboratively with large groups and small, to accept feedback, to think critically about your performances, to speak confidently in front of large groups and to manage time. You know how to connect with colleagues—and audiences. As an actor taking on different roles, you've developed your ability to understand and empathize with others. These skills are invaluable in the workplace, no matter where your career path takes you.
The Alberta Learning Information Service (ALIS) hosts detailed occupational profiles, salary survey data, trend reports and assessment tools to help you choose and plan a life-long career that matches your skills and interests.
