The Hearing Aid Practitioner program is a 60-credit, distance-delivery diploma program with 19 courses required for graduation. Full-time students complete the program in two years, while part-time students may take up to seven years to complete program requirements. The course list, or program of study listed in Year 1 and Year 2, outlines the program's structure by term and year. In it is the group of courses you must complete in order to graduate.
Distance learning requirements
The distance-learning curriculum for each course is available to students online. Students use textbooks and other learning resources in addition to the online curriculum and receive individualized support from instructors as needed. Students must have Internet access (high-speed access is recommended) because most courses require online interaction with the instructor and other students, and exams and/or quizzes are all written online.
On-site requirement
There is a minimum on-site requirement of approximately 10 days for lab work in the practical learning component.
