Employment opportunities for graduates of the MacEwan Social Work program are excellent and typically over 90% of our graduates are working for a social service agency within six months of graduation.

Graduates are employed in a large range of agencies including:

  • Children's services
  • Agencies providing services to First Nations and Metis communities
  • Services to new Canadians
  • Community outreach services
  • Family support
  • Prevention-oriented programs

  • Addictions and mental health
  • Community development
  • Advocacy agencies
  • Women's shelters

The program caused me to begin exploring my life and relationship with others and gave me new insights into people. I've learned to ‘walk in their shoes' and offer my support." ~ Graduate
