The course list, or program of study, outlines the program's structure by term and year. It is the group of courses you must complete in order to graduate.

• It is recommended that students complete the English requirement (WRIT 101 – First Year Writing) and PSYC 104 (Introductory Psychology I) prior to starting Year II courses.

• WRIT 101 and PSYC 104 are available in all terms at MacEwan University on campus and online. Students MUST obtain a Letter of Permission and course equivalency confirmation from the Office of the University Registrar PRIOR to enrolling in a course at another post-secondary institution.

• The Therapist Assistant Program and/or MacEwan University reserves the right to cancel courses based on enrolment and/or instructor availability.

• It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all prerequisites are completed prior to enrolling in a class.

Field Placement Course Offerings:

Two field placement courses are:

• THAS 203 – Field Placement I

• THAS 215 – Field Placement II

The program highly recommends students complete all Year I and Year II courses before starting either or both of their field placement courses. This gives the field placement coordinator access to more field placement sites and to possibly locate a site that may be closer to the student’s home base. Students are required to contact the program’s University Advisor once they have enrolled in THAS 213 and prior to enrolling in THAS 214 to initiate the field placement process.
