Private Drums and Percussion Lessons are offered year-round at all levels, for all ages, at our Alberta College Campus or the Centre for the Arts Campus. Students can start at any time of the year.
Drums students may also consider enrolling in being a part of the Percussion Ensemble or the Summer Jazz Workshop.
All of our distinguished instructors – many of whom are active as professional performers in the community – have the credentials, experience and ability to provide you with the quality music instruction you want.

Bachelor of Music – University of Alberta
Dan Skakun has been teaching and playing drums professionally since 1981. He currently resides in Edmonton where he teaches at MacEwan University, The Alberta College Conservatory of Music as well as privately. Dan plays various styles of drums, but is most likely to be found playing jazz; he’s had the honour and pleasure of playing with the likes of PJ Perry, Tommy Banks, Bobby Cairns, Jim Head, Mike Rud, Andre White and many more wonderful musicians. Dan particularly enjoys playing with brushes!
