First Canada Day for international students

June 28, 2019 | Campus Life

We’re going to enjoy our first Canada Day. We heard from our teacher about the fireworks at Mill Woods Town Centre. We're going to fake-tattoo flags on our faces. And we plan to go shopping with our friends to search for Canada Day sales. It’s going to be a good day.

Being in Canada means a lot to me. It was my dream to study abroad because I want to become a better nurse and take care of people. Canada is a very beautiful country and to become one of its citizens would mean so much to me. Here we are free to live our lives. Our parents wanted us to come to Canada because girls are safe.

Your country accepted us with open arms. People are very nice, very polite, and they always say hello. But the thing Gagandeep also likes best about Canada is Tim Hortons. She’s fond of the coffee, and I have a coffee with her there sometimes. I like to give her company.
