For 12 years, I have collaborated with faculty and community to build robust and sustainable experiential learning programming. As well, for 20 years I managed non-profits and developing social enterprises, experiences which bring a strong community lens to my work in experiential learning. I enjoy working with faculty to develop innovative ways to integrate experiential learning components into existing courses or to develop new courses crafted around experiential opportunities to build student competencies, skills and knowledge while building capacity in our community partners.

I have worked in the education sector for 30 years. In that time, I have taught French and science to students from kindergarten to Grade 12 and English language overseas. As well, I founded and ran a private language school for overseas university students and worked for 13 years as the co-op program coordinator for a polytechnic. Currently, I am an Experiential Learning facilitator, and am working on a PhD.

I have been working in the career development field for over 11 years. With a background in teaching and advising in Canada and abroad, I love helping students find answers to the big questions about what they want to do with their life and career. In my role as Career Development Specialist, I meet individually with students, lead workshops and develop career education materials. I want students to understand what career education is, and how it can enhance, shape and make meaningful their learning experience at MacEwan University.
