Pets Assisting With Student Success (PAWSS)
September 27 is the first day for the Pets Assisting With Student Success program (PAWSS) program. PAWSS was started by Faculty within the Department of Nursing Science to help students de-stress and succeed in Academia.
Throughout the fall term, on Wednesdays from 2-3 p.m., students can come and cuddle, play and pet certified wellness dogs from CAAWLS. If you desire additional animal-assisted intervention, PAWSS is happy to present Feline Fridays. from 2-3 p.m., starting September 29th. Our certified wellness cats from CAAWLS like to play, cuddle and perform tricks for students.
All of our wellness animals look forward to meeting students from across the university. To find out more about PAWSS and when events are taking place, visit MacEwan.ca/pawss.
Please note: PAWSS is currently part of a research study; however, your participation in the study is completely voluntary and you do not have to participate in the study to visit with the animals.
