DEPARTMENT of CHILD and YOUTH CARE

Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is embedded in all aspects of our programs. That’s why we integrate theoretical knowledge and child and youth care methodology with hands-on experience.

Field placements

Field placements take place in years one, two and four of your program. Through the placements, you gain first-hand experience in child and youth care practice. You choose from a range of placement opportunities — from community centres and schools to social support agencies and group care environments.
