For Canadian businesses to grow beyond the country’s borders, they need to understand the frameworks and perspectives that shape international business. This minor provides international context to any major in the Bachelor of Commerce.
Why take this minor?
No matter your major, you can enhance it with an international perspective. For example, if you choose a major in accounting or finance, an international business minor sets you up as a financial consultant, a mergers and acquisitions expert or an international investment banker. If you choose a major in marketing, this minor provides you with a combination of skills sought after by international marketing organizations.

When you choose the international business minor, you gain an understanding of basic principles and perspectives that influence global decisions, and you learn about cross-border trade transactions. As well, you focus on particular areas of interest, such as international finance, legislation, marketing, logistics and supply chain management. Hands-on assignments, case studies and industry-based projects are integral components of senior-level courses.
