DEPARTMENT of MANAGEMENT and ORGANIZATIONS
Research
Our faculty’s diverse research interests benefit our students. We publish empirical and theoretical papers advancing the disciplinary knowledge we draw on in the classroom, as well as studies about the practice of teaching business. We look forward to supporting your research goals.
If you are interested in working on research, we have lots of support for student-led projects—and for supporting faculty with theirs.

Consider the Honours program
As an Honours student, you take your passion for business to the next level by closely examining a topic of your choice. Immerse yourself in this research-based program and prepare yourself for your career or graduate school.

Independent study
Bring on the research. In these senior-level courses, you work with an instructor to research a specific topic. You take the lead in planning, executing and reporting the results for your independent research. Independent research courses are available in management or in human resources management.
Faculty Research Online
Many of our faculty’s recent publications and research projects can be accessed through MacEwan library's online repository.
An invitation to students
Explore your own ideas and share them at conferences through USRI and USRA grants. Present to your peers and the general public at Student Research Day. Discover numerous opportunities for student-engaged research at MacEwan University.

I participated in a faculty-guided, independent-study class which led to me becoming a published researcher. Knowing I could produce something so original and unique filled me with a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishment.
