DEPARTMENT of PSYCHOLOGY

MAJOR, MINOR, HONOURS

Engaged teachers; engaging material. Pursue your interest in human behaviour guided by faculty members with a range of specializations, from forensic and abnormal psychology to neuroscience and health.

When you study psychology, you learn the science behind the ways people think, feel and behave. You gain an understanding of the many factors that influence behaviour and participate in hands-on scientific investigations. Whether you choose a major or minor in psychology—or enrol in the honours program—you graduate with the knowledge and critical thinking skills valued by a wide range of employers.

Major or minor

Honours

The Honours program in psychology is available to select students in either the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science who have declared a major in psychology. If you are interested in the Honours program, you usually apply towards the end of your second year.

Certificate of Achievement

Add a specialization in behavioural intervention to your degree. Expand your clinical practice by applying behaviour analysis principles to the assistance and treatment of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.

My goal is to inspire students and I hope to have the same impact on them that an influential professor had on me.
