DEPARTMENT of PSYCHOLOGY

Psychology MINOR

Marketing majors who want to recognize consumer impulses, nursing students who want to understand the psychology of care, design professionals who want to ensure product usability—the skills you learn in a psychology minor aid you in understanding and interacting with others in all kinds of situations.

This minor is a good option if your career path involves understanding human motivation or working with or for people. As well, the scientific principles you learn are a great complement to any major.

Program of study

This minor is open to students in the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science. Courses for your minor are only one component of the degree requirements you need to graduate. To see all courses required for the minor, check the program of study in the academic calendar.

Requirements can change from year to year. You will follow the program of study outlined in MacEwan University’s Academic Calendar for the year you declare your major/minor or the year you are accepted into an Honours program.

Arts or science?

Requirements for the minor in psychology are identical for the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Science.
