At MacEwan University, your learning has a practical focus. In the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis program, you take field experience courses that empower you to apply your new knowledge and skills in preparation for a successful career.
You receive supervision in evidence-based practices with real-world clients. You help them manage challenges and achieve meaningful outcomes, creating a reciprocal learning environment that strengthens the profession and the community.
Courses
PABA 496 Field Experience I
The course offers students the practical opportunity to demonstrate learning outcomes based on vocational standards. The placement will involve at least 75 hours of participating in behaviour-analytic activities—direct and indirect—supervised by a BCBA. During this time, students can observe, implement and practice basic technical skills and apply the knowledge gained from prerequisite courses. Note: Students must supply a police information check and a vulnerable sector check before taking this course.
PABA 497 Field Experience II
This course provides a practical opportunity to further develop and demonstrate the learning outcomes of the prerequisite courses towards vocational standards. The placement will consist of a minimum of 75 hours of participation in behaviour-analytic activities (both restricted/direct and unrestricted/indirect). The student will be able to observe, implement and practice basic beginner technical skills and apply knowledge gained in the prerequisite courses. Note: Students must supply a a police information check and a vulnerable sector check before taking this course.

B.A.S.E offers an immersive learning environment where you gain practical skills while delivering essential behaviour analytic services to families, schools and the community.
