BEHAVIOUR ANALYSIS
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet the academic requirements listed under the categories of admission and ensure you meet additional admission criteria.

You must meet the following requirements to apply for Fall 2025 intake.
Other admission criteria, listed under "Additional admission criteria" below, must be received and assessed before a decision on your application can be made. Follow the guidelines supplied by your program to complete and submit the required items as soon as possible.
Categories of admission
To be evaluated through the Office of the University Registrar
Applicants may be admitted to one of the following:
- a four-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in psychology
or - a four-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with completion of six credits of university-level psychology courses equivalent to MacEwan University’s PSYC 104 and PSYC 105 with a minimum grade of C+

All applicants must meet an acceptable level of English language proficiency. We will require official documents such as high school or post-secondary transcripts or proof of successfully completing a standardized language evaluation. In addition to the regular admission requirements, applicants are required to submit the following to be assessed by faculty from the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis program:
- a resume outlining academic or employment experience relevant to the program
- two letters of reference: one reference from volunteer or work experience and one academic reference (preferred) or a general reference if it is not possible to provide an academic reference
- a letter of intent
The letter of intent (500 words maximum) will discuss the following:
- relevant coursework taken to prepare for continued academic study into the science and practice of behaviour analysis
- relevant work and/or volunteer experience that may have prepared the applicant for the skills expected from an individual going into a helping profession that supports the behaviour change of another person
- experiences the applicant is hoping to gain while completing two supervised fieldwork courses
- short-term and/or long-term career plans and expectations of how the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Behaviour Analysis will further career goals
Applicants offered admission will be required to submit a clear police information check (or equivalent from another policing agency) that includes a vulnerable sector search. The police information check must be obtained before enrolling in the program’s field placement courses.
