AVIATION MANAGEMENT

Business aviation is critical to a variety of companies that require speed, efficiency, flexibility and productivity. Combine your love of flying with a business education.

The university's unique alignment with Transport Canada-approved training allows you to complete your Business Management diploma with a specialization in aviation management.

Students in the aviation major complete 17 of the 20 courses from the Business Management diploma, which provide core business skills in accounting, marketing, strategic management, supply chain management and airport operations.

You must enter the program with Transport Canada-approved aviation credentials or acquire them through a Transport Canada-approved training facility to receive the remaining 9 credits toward the Business Management diploma and successfully complete the program.

Aviation training

Students must present the following Transport Canada-approved aviation credentials in order to graduate and will receive a total of 9 credits towards the diploma:

  • Private Pilot’s license - 3 credits, and
  • 2 of Commercial Pilot’s License, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine Rating or Instructor Rating - 6 credits

For Aviation Management, apply to the Business Management diploma when you submit your application to MacEwan University. You declare the Aviation Management major when you apply to graduate.
