Program Details

The pimâcihisowin Foundation Program (pFP) offers Indigenous students a supported, culturally grounded transition into university-level studies.

The Cree term pimâcihisowin translates to “create a life of independence” and the program addresses the requirements needed to be admitted into a diploma or degree program.

This program is a pathway to your chosen field of study and offers additional support to achieve your post-secondary goals through:

  • Land-based learning
  • Mentorship and writing Support
  • Access to teachings by Indigenous instructors
  • Cultural support
  • Access to upgrading and university-level courses
