HEARING AID PRACTITIONER
Practical Learning
Practical experience is integrated into course assignments.
To complete practical assignments in many program courses, you are given a choice between:
- Working in partnership with a local, qualified, MacEwan University-approved professional to complete learning activities and assignments; or
- Attending a lab at MacEwan University to work with other students on the learning activities and assignments, with support from the instructor.
On-site requirement
Two courses in the Hearing Aid Practitioner program include back-to-back mandatory on-site labs: HAPR 204 and HAPR 211. These labs must be completed at MacEwan University's downtown campus. They take place in the winter term of the second year of the program, so students only have to be on campus for one visit, for a period of approximately 10 days.
