Board of Governors Alumni Representatives
Be involved in governance.
The MacEwan University Alumni Association is seeking two alumni leaders to serve on the Board of Governors. This is a unique opportunity to bring your alumni perspective and professional expertise to Board discussions that shape MacEwan’s vision and strategic direction.
As a Board member, you’ll uphold professionalism, integrity and impartiality while contributing to thoughtful decision-making. In doing so, you’ll also help advance the Alumni Association’s mission of strengthening meaningful connections between alumni and the university.
Your role as an alumni representative
As an alumni member of the Board, you will do the following:
- Serve as a trusted voice for MacEwan alumni, ensuring their perspectives are represented in decision-making.
- Uphold professionalism, integrity and impartiality in all Board matters.
- Support the Alumni Association’s mission to build and strengthen connections between alumni and the university.
- Contribute to strategic discussions that help shape the direction and future of MacEwan University.
About the Board of Governors
The Board of Governors provides oversight of the university’s long-term vision, mission and strategy within its approved mandate. Responsibilities include the following:
- Fulfilling fiduciary duties by acting in the best interests of the university and the communities it serves
- Setting policies and overseeing strategy to support effective decision-making
