Upon completion of a scholarly project, you can share the outcomes with a larger audience through a number of dissemination activities, such as conferences, exhibitions and performances.
This grant helps cover the cost of attending and presenting at a variety of events and activities.
USRI Dissemination Grant Amount: $1,500
Faculty mentors: Submit the application by following these steps:
- Log in to PeopleSoft.
- Choose the Research tile.
- Navigate to the My Grant Application page and select USRI Dissemination Grant from the list of awards. Choose Start a New Application to begin a new application. Applications that have already been started can also be accessed from this screen.
Note: USRI Dissemination Grant will only show up in the list when applications are open.
Note: Domestic travel is subject to all university policies. Students are advised that policy may also change in the future.

For dissemination activities occurring between March 1, 2026 and November 30, 2026.
Undergraduate Student Research Initiative
The Undergraduate Student Research Initiative (USRI) is a General Faculty Council’s Standing Committee on Scholarly Activity program. It provides funding to support MacEwan students to conduct their own research and creative activities and disseminate their findings.
