Investigate questions, develop skills and produce scholarly or creative work. At MacEwan, you can contribute to new knowledge and understanding with support from librarians, professors and the Office of Research Services. Research lets you explore your ideas locally and in the broader community.

It’s exciting to see student research growing at MacEwan. Research challenges students to apply their classroom knowledge to help understand and solve real-world problems.
Dr. Craig Kuziemsky, associate vice-president, Research

Research is for everyone

Every student at MacEwan is encouraged to conduct research. When you tackle a research project, you explore big ideas, ask important questions and gain experience that matters. We can help you get started, access funding and present your findings.

Student research highlights

The Office of Research Services (ORS) supports faculty and student research and creative activity. We provide information about funding opportunities, host workshops, ensure ethical standards are met and answer your questions about research at MacEwan. The ORS supports the work of the General Faculty Council’s Standing Committee on Scholarly Activity. We are driving the implementation of the Tactical Plan for Scholarship, which operationalizes our office’s role in achieving Teaching Greatness: Strategic Vision 2030.
