Student Research Day
Community-based scholarship, art and design creations, original compositions, scientific experiments—it’s time to celebrate our students’ achievements. Each spring, students from across campus showcase their best work at Student Research Day.
Do you have a research project you'd like to share? Or some creative work you want the MacEwan community to see, hear or experience? Then Student Research Day 2023 is for you! Applications are accepted between January 9 and March 10, 2023.
Do you have a project that you're particularly proud of, some research you'd like to share with others or a creative piece that shines? Apply to participate in Student Research Day where you can showcase your achievements and share your insights.
Presentation tips and strategies
If you are presenting at Student Research Day, you can use guidelines developed by the MacEwan Library for creating effective and professional posters and presentations. The word limit for abstract submissions is 250 words.
- Writing an abstract
- Creating a conference poster (templates available)
- Giving an oral presentation
Additional opportunities to share your work
Following Student Research Day, a Book of Abstracts will be posted to the Student Research Day web page.
We encourage you to submit copies of your presented works, including papers, theses, recordings and digital copies of creative works, to MacEwan’s online research repository (RO@M).
Interested in having your work formally peer-reviewed and published? Students may also submit projects to the MacEwan University Student eJournal (MUSe), which accepts scholarly and creative works completed from second-, third- and fourth-year students.
