Our department offers the only Child and Youth Care undergraduate degree in Alberta, with a diploma-exit option after two years. Classroom coursework is supported with a variety of field placement and experiential learning opportunities, giving our students the chance to apply what they learn.

Our students learn from highly qualified faculty who have both practical experience in the field and research expertise with children, youth, families and communities. Our employable graduates have the knowledge and practical skills they need to use trauma-informed care to help individuals and families navigate mental health, addiction, education, poverty, communication and family conflict challenges.
